Satori Dancewear: Elevating Dance, Performing Arts & Style

​Satori Dancewear, formerly known as HelloYoga, was founded in 2015 to provide movement-conscious clothing and yoga products to the Reno/Tahoe area. Originally, it served as a local retail outlet for fitness professionals seeking high-quality apparel and accessories. In 2020, Satori rebranded with a new vision: to become the premier destination for dancewear in Reno/Tahoe.

Operating a retail business during and after COVID-19 has been challenging. Like many others, we faced financial hardships, limited parking in Reno’s Midtown, inconsistent store hours, high product costs, and inventory constraints typical for small businesses. Amid our struggles in 2023, we reconnected with Mr. Kris Swaczyna, whom Mrs. Denelle Padgett-Martin's daughter had trained under for many years at The Conservatory of Movement. At the time, he was in the early stages of establishing a community-focused ballet academy. This meeting led to a valuable partnership, allowing Satori to relocate to an improved shared facility in the spring of 2024.

​​This transition enabled us to stay in business, reduce rental costs, expand our team to extend store hours, and broaden our product selection, ensuring dancers had continuous access to essential products. Throughout her five years of ownership, Mrs. Padgett-Martin has consistently reinvested her time and proceeds into Satori, driven by her commitment to providing local dancers with a boutique dance store.​​​

Under the leadership of Mrs. Padgett-Martin, Satori is dedicated to strengthening its brand, maintaining reliable store hours, expanding inventory to better serve our customers and dance studio partners, and fostering community partnerships—including but not limited to The Conservatory of Movement, Sierra Nevada Ballet, Northern Nevada Ballet Academy, FR Dance, Xscape Perform Arts Center, Jenny's Studio of Dance, Tahoe Dance School, Truckee Dance Factory and more.
